今天在 itunes上聽到 Dixie Chicks 唱的 Not Ready to Make Nice. 感動得不得了。歌詞反應03年Dixie Chicks發生的一件事情，到今天還有很多人沒有原諒他。
Dixie Chicks 在2003年的時候在倫敦演唱會上說身為德州人，他們對布希總統同樣是德州人感到羞恥， "Just so you know, we’re ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas."。話一說完沒多久，美國中西部各個Radio Station開始抵制Dixie Chicks的音樂。美國愛國主義也開始運作，很多人寫威脅信給Dixie Chicks，甚至有父母告訴小孩要拒絕買Dixie Chicks的CD，就連Dixie Chicks的家鄉德州都反他們。
之後Dixie Chicks感覺上好像就一獗不振了，很久沒有聽到他們的新聞。感覺上似乎被這件事情打倒。今年4月18他們出了這張單曲CD，專輯在幾個禮拜內就會推出。聽他的歌詞透露出心中的憤怒，為了堅持自己的想法，深信自己的自由發言權，而付出了慘痛的代價。聽了實在是讓人很感動！這種敢表達自己的想法的人，我真的很敬佩。他們明明知道說出這些不受歡迎的話，會有很大的反應，但是仍然敢說，這種人真的很少見！
